Henry and Kathleen's First Home

Henry and Kathleen Spencer were married 3 June 1939 in Dromore, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Their first home was a flat at 117 Dartmouth Park Road, a wee bit east of Hampstead Heath. Kathleen was working as a midwife at a nearby hospital, with Henry working as an ambulance driver. Three months later, war was declared; Henry was called up to RTC Wool, Dorset on 2 Sep 1939 and left immediately.
Kathleen was invited to the Landlord's flat next day where they listened to Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain announce the declaration of war on BBC radio, ending with "It is the evil things that we shall be fighting against - brute force, bad faith, injustice, oppression and persecution - and against them I am certain that the right will prevail."
Sound familiar? Throughout The West the fight goes on - against the endless progression of evil things invented by today's Cultural Marxist so-called "progressives."
